Sunday November 22, 2009 SAM Ermolenko has been unveiled as the new man in charge of Premier League newcomers Leicester.
The 1993 world champion met supporters at a well attended celebration party and will oversee construction of the new track in time for next season.
He said: “I am honoured to be associated with such a proud heritage and look forward to making the Lions worthy ambassadors for the city of Leicester.” BSPA
I actually feel quite sorry for Rick Frost, his intention was keep the riders identity a secret and then reveal the team at the fans forum, if all paperwork was completed. It seems Bridger, Bjerre and PUK have spoiled that for him. He said in the ET he only announced Bridger when he did because of all the speculation and reports coming from Bridger.
In Poland continues the 27-year-old Vestjyden champion club in Zielona Gora, while club in England in 2010 called Peterborough. translation of wot was said above

Looks like NKI is nailed on according to Holsted's website.
I Polen fortsætter den 27-årige vestjyde i mesterklubben Zielona Gora, mens klubben i England i 2010 hedder Peterborough.
So far we've got:
1 NKI 7.80 2 3 Bridger 6.78 4 5 Bjerre 7.69 6 7
Zabik (4.56) is a probable.
Batchelor (7.01) is a possible. And maybe Bach (3.51) at No.7, DU with ?
But that'd leave just 3.60 for the final rider.....
Unless all the talk about Ollie Allen (6.29) is right? Allen instead of Batchelor leaves 4.32 for the final rider - and that isn't quite enough for Ales Dyml, or Ulrich or Vissing. Maybe a 4.0 Pole?

In my opinion, we must have Niels, because he is capable of winning heats 13 & 15. He also gave 100% in every meeting. The more I look at the reserve positions, the more I am being swayed towards a new 4 point foreigner. Only my opinion, and I will probably change my mind again in a couple of days. One things for sure, whatever the team, I will be purchasing a season ticket. Rick has said he intends to have a younger team, and that can only be good for the future of Peterborough Speedway.
I think Bjerre, Batchelor, Bridger and Swiderski have all proven that they are capable of winning heats 13 and 15. I also think without Iversen the team looks stronger in all areas. Bjerre, Batch, Bridger, Swiderski and Zabik are all capable of being heat leaders and winning races, they're all strong around the showground and with Bridger, Swiderski and Batchelor we should be stronger on the smaller circuits too. Without Niels that gives us more points to play with for a decent reserve. We could use Ales Dryml, Claus Vissing, Ulrich Ostergaard or another on a similar average rather than a 3 pointer. Heat 2 is just as important as 13 & 15 for me, not to mention the other vital points reserves can pick up. For me it's Swiderski rather than Niels for overall team balance.

Think Zengotta would come in on a 5 point average. Would expect Lindgren to end up at either Wolves or Swindon, but think it is a season too soon personally.
Has the chance of Zengotta gone or been forgotten ? if hes a 4pointer why not have him at reserve and a 7th rider up to 3.11 ITV teletext has Ludvig Lindgren in talks with an EL club at present could this be the Panthers you could have a top 5 of NKI - Bjerre - Batchlor - Bridger & Zabik then

Very admirable gesture I reckon, and indicates that the Frosts want to be connected to the fans.
Not had one though and I supppose that's because I've not bought a season ticket for 10 years and so no longer on that data base.
I did receive the Panthers monthly newsletter ..'On the Gas' .. via e-mail ...3 or 4 seasons ago......so maybe Julie could look into delivering the mailshots this way too.......would be a lot cheaper!
This may sound like a stupid question but... has he rode over here before? If so, when? I've never seen him ride. I only started watching speedway at the beginning of the 2006 season (Great season to start I think )
Think he rode mid season for Berwick a couple seasons ago but got a head injury and didnt come back then rode for Poole at the tail end of last season
Yeah, that head injury.... when he came round he was able to chat away in fluent accent-free English It was amazing because up to then he'd only just started taking English lessons! Apparently it's a known phenomenon in the medical world. He soon lost it though and was unable to remember anything.
There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy....

Have to say I was pleasantly surprised this morning at what the postman pushed through my letter box ! I have received what appears to be some kind of mailshot from Peterborough "Readypower" Panthers ! I initially assumed it was a season ticket renewal, but instead it was 2 letters - one detailing the fans forum, and the other a full A4 sheet all about Lewis Bridger's signing.
A great idea, I think...to keep loyal fans informed. But still not quite sure what to make of it. This info is already on the site, and various forums....hmmmm......
top 5 looks good but if vissing has to go in instead karol it does n't look so good as for the reserves would have been better having a quality 4pt ass rider (if there is 1 available)and smith/lambert as d/u
Or if we put Swiderski in there instead of Iversen it would give us a strong top 5 and room for strong reserves. If Bjerre does the job management are expecting him to do then he will be at number 1, from what they said they would only epect Niels to be a second heat leader at best. Batchelor, Bridger, Swiderski and even Zabik could easily step up to the mark as heat leaders.
1 Kenneth Bjerre 7.69 2 Ales Dryml 4.67 3 Lewis Bridger 6.78 4 Piotr Swiderski 6.48 5 Troy Batchelor 7.01 6 Karol Zabik 4.56 7 Richard Hall / Rene Bach 3.69

so if as everybody presumes 7.11 left for final 2 what about schramm 3.40 and t.jonasson 3.66 in the e.t it was hoped anothern brit would be in the team probaly the monarchs could be intrested in moller ,or it could be schramm and bach

We would have a side that consists of the BEST top 5 in the league, But the WORST reserves...
I really believe that RF,PO and TS think that Bjerre can step up to the mark this year and hit the 9 pt ave.

As I stated earlier in this thread, I'd rather have Swiderski than Iversen. It would allow Zabik to start the season as a reserve. I think Nermark is on a 4.98 and I don't think I'd want him at the Showground. Doolan would've been a better option but he's signed for Lynn again now.
To be serious for a minute: what average is Kus on?

Nicki Pedersen's last GSA was in 2007 for Eastbourne - 10.46
you mean NP's average isn't "around 9.6" ? Noooo!
I think that's pretty much what he's saying.
Andreas Jonsson is "around 9.6" or 9.66 to be exact. I don't think he'll want to ride over here though and if he did I don't think we'd be first in line.

We are attending Leicester Speedway's celebration party on Saturday, Lewis Bridger will be there to. Tickets are available on the door if anyone is interested
P.s we will still be supporting Panthers and will be there on the 2nd December
IMO I would like to see an out and out No.1. Hans would be my first choice, but I suspect this isn't going to happen. We're not going to entice any of the stay away GP riders, so cross that one off your wish list. History suggests that Peter Oakes likes to build a solid team with no out and out No.1. You can assume Rick will use his asset base so you get something like ...
This leaves 14.12, which definitely rules out Andersen.
If this is the route the club takes, one or two riders really need to step up to the plate and prove themselves, otherwise I fear we will fall short as we did this year...
So speedway star is giving up all of Rick's 2010 plans before we go to the fans forum on the 2nd Dec.
With Batchelor (7.01) seemingly the next signing that leaves panthers with 7.11 for the reserves.
A solid team through 1-5 (although not all confirmed), it's stronger than the 2009 team on paper, but I would still like to see an out and out No.1....

Fans Forum - 2nd December « Result #47 on Nov 20, 2009, 9:09am »
Peterborough Speedway will be holding a fans forum on Wednesday 2nd December 2009 starting at 7.30pm at the Emperor Suite, Marriot Hotel, Orton Northgate, Peterborough.
Owner Rick Frost, Team Manager Trevor Swales and the new Director of Speedway at Peterborough Peter Oakes will all be present and as well as all the latest team news there will be an update about the recent BSPA AGM Conference in Bournemouth and its impact on the Peterborough Panthers.
Rick Frost has already hinted that he would like to reveal the whole 2010 team providing all the relevant paperwork is completed and it’s anticipated that most of the signed riders will be in attendance on the night. Panthers latest confirmed signature Lewis Bridger will definitely be attending. Team plans for 2010 have been well underway for some time now and it’s anticipated that they will be pretty much completed by the forum date.
There is no charge for this forum and everyone is welcome to attend and following the managements news, the floor will be open for questions from the supporters.
Season ticket and admission charges for 2010 are just being finalised and will be released shortly, application forms for 2010 will be available on the night although all existing ST holders should receive a 2010 renewal form in due course.
In addition the Peterborough track shop will be present with many lines at reduced end of a season price, with DVD’s of Panthers matches in 2009 from Clean Cut Sports. This will be the perfect opportunity to catch up with all the latest news, meet the new riders with photo and autograph opportunities and grab yourself a bargain just in time for Christmas.

If there's a chance of us signing Batchelor I'd rather see Niels left out in favour of Swiderski and more strength at reserve.
1 Kenneth Bjerre 7.69 2 Ales Dryml 4.67 3 Lewis Bridger 6.78 4 Piotr Swiderski 6.48 5 Troy Batchelor 7.01 6 Karol Zabik 4.56 7 Richard Hall / Rene Bach 3.69
40.88
Zabik should easily step into the main body after a month with Dryml most likely to move the other way. This would still give us at least 1 very strong reserve.
Re: Bridger Agrees Terms With Panthers « Result #49 on Nov 19, 2009, 10:52pm »
Bridger claims that his main reason for joining Peterborough is to improve his knowledge and get more experience of riding bigger tracks. Well at least he will have something in common with our other two likely heatleaders, because they can't ride big tracks either.
I'd come up with a variation on that line up co-incidentally with Wilkinson at reserve
lewis bridger 6.78 Kenneth Bjerre 7.69 troy batchelor 7.01 Nk Iverson 7.80 Rene Bach 3.51 Karol Zabik 4.50 C Wilkinson 3.42
reckon that fits with the limit
Tel
You can't have Bach and Wilkinson in the same team as they have both signed PL contracts. You could have them doubling up together in one spot but we can't have two double up spots.
